Why created?
We wanted to focus on educating, assisting in the procurement and continuous support of services and technologies that were at the forefront solving client’s problems. Solving clients problems is FUN. Selling Me-To services is boring.
How is AdeptIT different?
We keep our clients just ahead of the curve by prospecting for and then focusing on disruptive (it’s a positive thing here) service offerings. Offerings must make a significant difference for our clients for us to deploy resources in educating our clients about the potential benefits. Innovation is not found in the large behemoth carriers nor the behemoth advisory agencies. They are committed to the present. Innovation is found in smaller companies that have a vision, a proven technology or service offering. Proven support and a credible financial team behind them.
What is the AdeptIT business structure and why?
Our question was “How do we obtain the flexibility to offer a client what they need as our primary focus”? And, not forced to sell. We use the agency model. We acquire most of our solutions from another entity, in this case Telarus, the largest privately held technology broker in the United States as a primary source. We have been with them since 2003. We are one of their first partners. This relationship means that we do not have to be constantly babysitting channel managers from the various (almost 200) providers or deal with agreements and corporate stuff. We stay focused on our clients. We also have direct relationship with preferred providers that offered the type of services our clients want but Telarus at this time does not have a relationship with.
So how do you make money?
When you acquire the services of a provider through us, once the service is installed and working that provider pays us or Telarus a commission. In 20 years, we have never been beaten by price when going head to head with a providers’ direct salesforce.
Where are you located?
Our founder and corporate office are in Bellingham Washington. Our staff is virtual and work from home, across the country. We make extensive use of contractors. This allows us to exploit their talents in their chosen field. Also, a contractors’ mindset tends to be closer to ours than most employees, in our experience. Company meetings are typically held in airport conference rooms or nearby hotels.
